JCS Counseling Department works collaboratively with the Academic Department to develop students’ learning and achieve the learning goals.
The counseling program goals are as the following:
Listening to students’ concerns about academic, emotional or social problems
Helping students process their problems and plan goals and actions
Mediating conflict between students and teachers
Improving parent/teacher relationships
Organizing peer counseling programs
Helping students to recognize their abilities to succeed in all areas.
Studying individual cases of different types and designing behavior programs according to case studies and behavior modification strategies.
Promoting the values of belonging and citizenship and preserving the security of the homeland.
Researching and studying psychological, social and educational problems and preparing appropriate programs for them.
Holding individual meetings with parents for students who show negative signs of thinking, behavior or lack of school adjustment.
Organizing meetings and training courses for students and their parents, especially on the psychological, educational, behavioral and social aspects.
Applying individual and group counseling techniques to help students with problems.
Participating in committees and school councils related to guidance and guidance programs.
Enlightening the school community with the objectives of guidance programs and services, and building fruitful professional relations with the school staff and parents
Working on the discovery and care of gifted and talented students and providing the available resources for the development of their abilities and talents within the framework of public and private programs.
Following up of late students and studying the causes of delay and take the necessary steps to upgrade their levels.
